Two years later, as the automotive industry shifts to zero-emission vehicles, Mercedes-Benz Group (formerly Daimler) is revealing a new, upscale aspect of the Geländewagen that was hinted at by the Mercedes EQG concept.

Mercedes-Benz is the manufacturing plant’s first publicly announced customer. Sila’s Washington country facility will use 100% clean power to produce advanced silicon anode materials. Additionally, the organizations plan to launch the brand-new battery generation on the Electric G-Wagon in the middle of the decade. The EQG is likely to be heavy since it is a frame SUV. Variants

Mercedes-Benz Group submitted trademark applications to the EU trademark office on April 1, 2021, for the names EQG 560 and EQG 580, which it may use for the Mercedes EQG. The agency now holds the trademark for the EQG name, which it filed with the EUIPO in 2016. On April 3, 2022, it was reported that the Mercedes EQS 580 4MATIC+ version used the number 580. Mercedes-Benz Group registered the EQG 560 and EQG 580 trademarks in August 2021 with the WIPO as well as the Australian, Canadian, and American trademark offices. As of November 24, 2021, the status in Australia, Canada, and the US indicates “Pending,” even though the WIPO trademark office has approved the application.

There may be no reliable proof, but an AMG high-overall performance variant (Mercedes-AMG EQG) must also be a part of the intended model range.

Launch Date

The Mercedes-Benz Group said in 2021 that the Mercedes EQG would be available in 2024. Källenius provided a more specific release date during the media roundtable on September 22, 2022, saying that the company intends to introduce the EQG in the middle to the latter part of 2024.
